MELBOURNE'S TRUSTED PAINTERS OVER 18 YEARS

Melbourne Body Corporate Painters

Body Corporate Painters – It’s Bill from Melbourne City Maintenance. Today, we’re bringing you the painting of doors. Our long-standing client has asked us to come in and do some body corporate painting for them.

They’ve asked us to paint 200 doors throughout their apartment building complex. As you can see in the video, we’ve sped up the painting process to 100 miles an hour to give you a rough idea of how we go about it. However, we want to let you know the process that’s involved in painting these doors for our client and all the residents of the 200 apartments in this building.

We’ve notified the residents that we’ll be there painting and asked them to make a booking on a calendar at a time that’s convenient for them.

And to enable us to paint the door properly, we’ve asked the resident to be home for about two hours so that the door can dry before they shut it and walk away. In this situation, not everybody has been able to be home for us.

So, some of the doors had to be painted shut. We’ve made arrangements for those people to have their doors painted specifically on a date and time that works for them if they contact us to make those arrangements.

Now, painting the door open is the best option because we get a perfect finish and give the door all the time it needs to dry. When we don’t have the ability to paint the door open, we will paint it shut but put an undercoat on the door. We paint it as close to the edge as possible, and since this paint is the same color as the previous coating, the difference is not visible while the door is closed but will be visible when the door opens.

If you are a body corporate manager looking for a painter to handle high wear-and-tear areas like doors, then give Bill a call from Melbourne City Maintenance. We will arrange to come out and give you a quote, and we will schedule the painting at the convenience of the majority of the owners while still aiming to paint the doors open for a perfect finish.

Even if we can’t get people home, we will continue to paint the doors to refresh the building’s appearance. The end result will be amazing, and the owner’s corporation and committee will be glad that the doors have been maintained and the place looks fresh.
