This old workman’s cottage in the inner Melbourne Suburb of Collingwood was leased for many years and by the time the old tenants decided to change location, the house had some wear and tear that was mainly superficial and need to be sorted out in preparation for the new tenants.
In these before and after photos you will notice that the condition of the walls is quite good its just that lts of traffic up and down the stairs over the years has create dirt marks, scratches and imperfections.
It really is amazing that a paint job will lift the mood of a house in a matter of days.
The job involved
- covering old yellow and blue colors with undercoat
- repairing of plaster damage
- sanding all timber windows and doors
- filling gaps and cracks in ceilings
- applying 2 coats of ceiling flat
- applying 2 coats of premium interior low-sheen
- applying 2 coats of satin enamel to doors windows skirting boards and architraves
